I initially heard about the plans Airtel had to implement fees for the use of services such as Skype, Viber and Whatsapp, which, should be free as long as the person using these services is paying for the bandwidth they use. I believe this was one of the founding principles of the internet, and a telecom company should absolutely NOT be allowed to regulate a key feature of the internet. I am also firmly opposed to ISPs throttling bandwidth to specific websites based on the fees they receive(or don't receive) from them. I believe that telecom companies are not only greedy in these attempts to grab at people's money, but also blind to the damage they will cause to progress.
