Net Neutrality is a necessity for a prosperous nation. If India is to become the nation it hopes to be, protecting Net Neutrality is essential. The digital world is merely a reflection of the real world and vice versa. If we neglect this necessity just for temporary profits, it is we, the people and subsequently the nation who will suffer.

After severe agitations, people of the USA were able to protect Net Neutrality in their nation, as the recent FCC ruling shows. Greedy corporations cannot take importance over the needs of the citizens. Similarly, people of the Netherlands too fought for Net Neutrality and defended it.

Loss of revenue to telecos should not be a bar to progress, because progress is what is an absolute need for India right now. I expect better from the Government. So do countless other Indians who do not have the ability to access the Internet as of yet, but still holds immense potential for them. Throwing Net Neutrality to the dogs will absolute crush these dreams of many, and subsequently the prosperity of the nation, because the Internet and the possibilities it brings are absolute juggernauts.

Please heed our requests. Once made, bad decisions only lead to bad outcomes. So please protect Net Neutrality, as many others like me have plead. DO NOT let telecos regulate OTT services such as WhatsApp, or Skype. Do not charge us for separately for these services as these will indirectly and certainly impede the our progress towards an ideal and flourishing nation.
