This is regarding news that you're considering permitting telecommunication companies charge for free services provided via the Internet (Whatsapp, Viber, etc) in order to compensate for their loss in revenue.
As a citizen of this country, the very notion of this idea is extremely disappointing. The income statements of telecom organizations having a priority over neutrality of the Internet is a huge blow to the progress of this nation.
Netherlands, passed a net neutrality act, which prevents any communication provider to hinder or interfere in any activity related to the Internet. Here we are trying to do the very opposite. The reason the Internet being such a powerful tool lies in its lack of censorship and almost perfect neutrality.
Therefore charging for OTT services is a huge step backwards in the technological development of our country and should not be entertained as a viable option. Thank you for your time.
