To whomsoever concerned at TRAI,
It is appalling that we have to shout out for net neutrality. When OTT providers don't feel the pinch in providing cheap(or free) modes of communication to the people, it is foolish to assume that Telecom companies should be bearing the brunt as a result.
The internet is very much still evolving. Even European countries like Netherlands recently declared the right for net neutrality. Similarly, we have to acknowledge that there are different modes of communication today and people will quickly adapt/adopt to what they find best.
We cannot and must not surrender to the demands of telecos because people have found an alternative mode of communication that is more pocket-friendly (in this case).
This is like the postal service demanding that for every email sent, it should receive compensatory monetary benefit because people nowadays don't send letters through post because of the advent of e-mail.
Let us not hurt the consumer, who must always have the right to choose simply based on his/her preference be it technology-wise, cost-wise, speed-wise or any.
Thanks & Regards,
