Dear Sir,

The proposed amendment to charge messaging apps is in total disregard to one's expression of thought and is arbitrary. This move is bound to fail in the court of law once implemented. The proposed move is unnecessary where the telecom service providers do not provide full network coverage in the first place. Still, if such TSPs are given such leeway in their favour it will add to more problems. Firstly, the TSPs must provide satisfactory network coverage and speed then try to reap profits.
The people have turned to messaging apps because the telecom charges are to high. This is a market economy and let it play its role. The telcos will realize their high-charges. Here market economy does not mean that arbitrary OTTs can be imposed.
Last but not the least, let me remind you that TRAI is set up to regulate oppressive telecom sector and not to act as to their whims and fancies.
