Dear Sirs,

Thank you for asking for our suggestions on request of regulating OTT services by Telcos.

My view is simple Telcos should focus on providing internet at better speed to its customers. Unlimited internet plans where they only provide average speed till 1GB and after that you have to wait for almost a minute to load a simple page on your mobile browser are already looting the customers. (What actions TRAI has taken to curb this mal practices?)

In the era where world is taking about Net neutrality this Telcos who provide poor internet speed (considering world standards) should just focus on speed and should lower their internet tariffs further so that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's vision of Digital India can become a reality.

Digital India dream will fail if this Telcos are allowed to charge different rates for different applications. They are already charging higher prices for internet services and poor internet speed.

Their argument of people using Internet to call their friends and relatives in different parts of the world is bogus because if you are using 2G connection browsing a simple website is hassle forget about watching a YouTube video or using Skype.

Its TRAI's responsibility to ensure mobile Internet tariffs are lowered and every citizen getting internet services and speed at par with the world.

Regards,
