Dear TRAI
You have stood with the people and provided a fabulous service to us. We could have not imagined the present day benefits of telecom without you. Telecom service providers in India are mostly money minded and forget about the service providing part. You are ensuring that. I personally thank you for this.
However, telecom companies are trying to break net neutrality stating technical reasons behind it. Internet has been a open, neutral place since its inception. TRAI should think from the perspective of people and stand for net neutrality. ISPs are meant for reaching the desired website, not for controlling or throttling the speed. Seriously is whatsapp make more congestion to their network, it is a technical difficulty that the service provider have to overcome. Charging higher rate for whats app user who use far minimum bandwidth as an individual why should he care for a technical difficulty that the company face as part of handling the traffic. Degrading the usage of whatsapp by overcharging it and limit the number of users is NOT a solution. It is just a HACK. As a service provider, it is the responsibility of the Telco to find a true “solution" and implement it, such as increasing fibers connection from their end, dedicated lines between ISP and Whats app host etc.
I think I have made my point. TRAI has to stand by people and neutrality.

Thanks.
