Dear sir,
I am opposing the app based separate net access charges.
I know that network providers want share in the revenue of various apps because they want to become MARK JUCKERBERG but for that why not they launch novel services/apps like flipkart, amazon, whatsapp or facebook. They are free to do so. Any useful novel idea will be welcomed by peoples.
Even Facebook doesn't charge anything for there service and they earns there all revenue only from advetisements. Whatsapp only charge 0.99 $/year with free first year access being a advertise free service, even they are giving it free to second year also, for indians. Amazon, Flipkart, Various banking apps, Various public sector apps of GOI/ State govt with lots of other apps, all are free to use BUT Internet providers earns on this free services.
Following points are noteworthy:-
1. There are thousands of apps so app based charge is irrational.
2. Internet providers tells that they lost "SMS REVENUE", but now they have New revenue in terms of "INTERNET REVENUE" (There was No internet revenue in past because at that time there was No smartphones), and it is not cheap also. To check it just use Youtube app and see a movie, it will be lot lot costlier than enjoying movie at cinema hall or multiplex.
3. Above plan is also against the policy of central govt that Internet servinces should reach the hands of far far villagers.
4. Use of Internet should be more cheaper than present rate so that it will be accessible, affordable like "Essential Medicine" and even village peoples can use various services like banking, train ticket booking, bill payments, online form submission, online shoping and even chat also. Then because of wider net usage revenue of network providers will automatically increase.
5. If app based charge is permitted then internet will go far from lot of indian peoples.
6. it will be hard to manage various app plans also.
7. There are NO ANY ADVANTAGES supporting the above said app based plan & it should be strictly prohibited.
