Hi TRAI,
India should have Net Neutrality and should not make any distinction of the data being transmitted.
1.The argument by Telecom companies regarding loss of revenue cannot be taken seriously since a proportional increase of revenue will happen in their Dataservices section.
2.Most of all people should not be made to pay extra either for the OTT companies or the Telecom companies
3.Moreover policy should not be framed because an industry losses revenue or be affected by Lobbies(Telecom)
4.The more grave concern would be a loss of privacy for the general public as all our data could be categorized and prone to unauthorized access.
5.Finally our Prime minister vision of a digital India would be destroyed since all digital services will increase in price which the common man might not be able to afford.
When the whole world seems to be moving ahead with greater transparency ,so we should avoid making a policy which will compromise a citizen's privacy.
There have been many protests regarding net neutrality all over the world and in many cases the opnion of people have been taken into consideration For Ex Netherlands
So please consider my suggestion while framing this policy.
