Dear Sir/Ma'am,

In the 21st century, a free and open Internet has become the backbone
of the free society. The Honourable Supreme Court recently struck down
66A of the IT Act and gave more power to online free speech and
expression. The government must ensure that the cyberspace is not
censored. If a web content is legal in India, then no ISP should be
allowed to slow it down, let alone block it. There should be a higher
transparency between the customer and the ISP which must make sure
that no website gets special treatment. I believe no service should
get stuck in a slow lane just because it does not pay a fee. That kind
of gatekeeping would undermine the level playing field essential to
the Internet's growth. Recently the F.C.C. upheld Net Neutrality rules
by classifying Broadband Internet service as a utility. Let the
Internet remain open and free like it always has been since its
inception.
