Hey guys
As a 54-year old, who has grown up with the legacy and ills of PSUs, the news of TRAI trying to protect the business interests of Telcos is very disturbing. I thought economic liberalisation started in the country in 1992 or thereabouts. This news smacks of the old times coming back - the difference being, in PSUs, the government was trying to protect the interests of sick government companies, and here TRAI is trying to protect the interest of fat-cow Telcos. We, as citizens of India, have always paid through our nose to fend for others' inefficiencies. TRAI wants to know how we feel about it? Well, we feel cheated. Kindly let free-economy prevail, development prevail, and 'survival-of-the-fittest prevail. Stop guarding the interests of companies that make a profit (not revenue, but PROFITS) of thousands of crores every quarter.
Hope you guys pay heed to this.
Thanks and regards
