Please do not change the democratic nature of the internet. In todays world the internet is the answer to many questions for many people. For an even more number of people than ever before, it is a source of livelihood or sustenance. Putting boundaries in this level playing field will affect everyone, and benefit a few already rich privileged people. No action that is taken in a free democratic country can be for the benefit of a minority whilst putting burden on the general public. 

If at all there needs to be a distributed revenue model for certain parts of the internet, let the telecom operators create plans in such a way that charges customers based on detailed usage tracking or preset website access information and monetise to their liking. The public response to their concerns or actions will reflect how things move forward. Why should the country or the government or the TRAI fall for this ploy and be the bad person in the bargain? Let them do their dirty work. 

The governing body must always be just, fair and stand for the benefit of the general public and consumer and not fall for the role of a wingman for the corporate leeches. I hope on behalf of all free users of the internet in our country that justice and freedom shall prevail. We already fought for freedom. We got it a long time back. But we still have our little battles everyday against a million evils. Lets not add to it. Lets not take away from the greatest gift of the last century and of the tech era. Lets not push the 21st century in the 19th.
