Dear Sir,

Based on recent articles in the media I have come to understand that TRAI seeks to possibly regulate software developers who have done consumers a huge favour by inventing mobile apps such as WhatsApp, Skype etc.

I personally believe that we as a country should be against any laws which infringe consumers' and users' freedom to use any and all application on the internet.

The internet is possible the greatest invention that we will ever see in terms of human research and forward development. With the boom of e-commerce, we have barely touched the tip of the iceberg of what India as a nation can achieve if we harness the full power of the internet. Any regulation or discrimination in the different uses of the internet will not only severely hinder progress in this sector, it will also potentially prevent future leaders from making any forays into this sector.

I will keep this email short and encourage you to please refer to this document - https://docs.google.com/document/d/14F8Tg2yw5FiqzvQWRG_xl9CRy69sU95OSmIgisJj6Qw/edit
If you do intend on keeping Net Neutrality laws in India, this document would be a good starting point. It has been collectively drafted by lakhs of users on Reddit. It is for the people, by the people.
