Respected Sir/Madam,

I would like to register my staunch opposition to the proposal regd. allowing Telecom operators to charge based on the nature of data transacted over their networks. below is a snapshot of my views, and I am willing to share details if required. My contact details are at the bottom of this mail.

Any economist would understand that, lack of resource neutrality is detrimental to its optimal utilization and in this case also innovation. Differential pricing is not the right way for Telecom operators to make money. Even as revenue from traditional services shall drop, that from data services shall increase, and is already increasing. Telecom operators should in fact take the opportunity focus on incentivizing more and more people to use for data services, leading to a win-win situation.

I am writing this mail in my personal capacity as a concerned citizen of the country. I hope that you are able to give your kind attention to this, and take a good decision eventually.

Thanks & Regards.
