I want to bring my thoughts on TRAI's recently published consultation paper on OTT services.
I want to let you know that your efforts to charge OTT service providers are not beneficial to the people of India in this digital age. Our government is doing serious efforts to make India digital under "Digital India" programme and your efforts are hurting this cause. Leave just the efforts, TRAI's knowledge in its paper published on net neutrality is outdated and mis-informed.
TRAI's efforts to charge fees to OTT players is just a step in the wrong direction. I would urge TRAI to not listen to the vested interests and consider the welfare that open internet will bring to the larger India.
I will urge TRAI and Govt of India to keep the internet open for everyone in india.
