Dear Sir/Madam,
Net Neutrality is the thing which makes the internet one of the greatest and most equally accessible invention for everyone. Unlike other great scientific and engineering discoveries which are meant for the benefit of the alleviated class, the privilege of the internet is something which is available to everyone, everywhere equally.
And obviously this has made certain people who feed off of the economic gap in society uncomfortable. I implore you to not bend to such malicious forces and to uphold the banner of freedom for one and all.
We already bear censorship in every walk of society, we face social segregation and our all round development as a society is hindered solely because not everyone has a level playing field. Thankfully, the internet is one of the few places where notions of freedom and equality are still respected and thrive and which provides a level playing field to every user. Do not take this away from us.
If we look to the west and follow the Net Neutrality debate that has been going on for a while now it will be a surprisingly hopeful precedent that we will witness. The Federal Communications Commission of the United States recently ruled against corporations trying to tamper with net neutrality laws and laid down rules which will greatly serve the development of their nation by preserving equality for all web users. This decision was welcomed with great enthusiasm by the public and inspired a positive atmosphere. I urge you to follow the brave footsteps of the FCC and ensure our freedom and save us from the exploitative claws of capitalism.
There are better, more well-informed people than me who are advocating for Net Neutrality. I can only comment on this from personal experience and so, once more, I request you to deliver the tough ruling that will not favor the big corporation for once but will work greatly for the betterment of our society.
Thank you,
Tipu Sultan
