I don't know if writing a mail is ever going to have any effect on your decisions, but I sure am going to try. 

India is already screwed up in favor of a few privileged people, whether it is because of caste or religion or color or sex or social status. There is only 1 thing today in this world that gives hope to a underprivileged and impoverished kid living in some remote part of the country to build a life for himself. And it is not education! With the current state of how education is imparted, the privileged have a clear advantage. The only thing that is working out for people right now is Internet - and the freedom it gives you, the veil of anonymity it gives you and the immense reach it promises without any upfront investment.

Please don't take away that opportunity from the people.

When Tim Bernes Lee and the team developed World Wide Web and give it to the world without any cost, they certainly didn't expect it to be monopolised by a few big corporates. This is unfair and ridiculous.

People today are so smart that they will figure out a way to reduce the distribution costs of apps. We don't need Airtel for that. 

Please support growth. Please support equality. Please support innovation. And prevent monopolies.

I doubt this will have any effect on you. But at least I tried.
