To the concerned authorities,
The internet remains the fastest growing intangible commodity, a good that all of us have become inextrically entangled with. Net neutrality, therefore, is an issue with little precedent. Telecom companies say that the internet can be sold, in the manner that they wish. I wish to disagree.

I would like to point to the recent happenings in the USA regarding the issue. The  US FCC has ruled that a service provider has no right to block, throttle or prioritize when it comes to internet usage, following a massive agitation with over 4 million public comments received. I expect there to be much more when Indians find out the full effect of anti-net neutrality laws.

The government maintains an image of being pro-people and pro-development. A strong net neutrality law would reinforce this image in the eyes of the public. I urge you to strongly consider my appeal for net neutrality.

Sincerely,
Nikhil Nayak.
