Dear TRAI,
I am a student at one of the IITs and I want the Internet to be a open buffet. Although the sms revenue has been down but the data revenue is up by almost 75% year on year which will someday eclipse the sms revenue. And how is this loss of revenue different from what happens when a new technology takes over the old one. All the industries have to face that. How is it different from the wiping out of blackberry due to better mobiles elsewhere. How is it different from orkut wiped out by facebook. The consumers will always move towards the cost effective and more flexible and convenient things to get their job done. And saying that we are losing money and hence we want to charge more for the essential items more is unethical and should not be allowed in a low per capita income country like India.
Thanks and Regards,
