Dear Sir,
I happen to read the document to get the feedback on the "Regulatory Feedback on OTT Services".
I am Jijo, CEO of a company Calpine Group in Infopark, Kochi, Kerala.
I am a full supporter of Open Internet. Anything we do to make sure that the internet is free and uncontrolled makes it a medium which grows without limits. People would use national security and use laws like the Patriot law to bring in sanctions to this. But, for a person who is into bad things, he can always find other ways to do the bad things. Controlling it by the methods mentioned in the document is not a solution.
If the revenue for the telecom companies is an issue, they need to find other ways to make it happen. There are various pricing models which could be implemented so that they make enough money in the process. Bringing in controls to the mobile apps getting developed will make India an even more backward country. I frequently travel to other countries and am amazed by the facilities and connectivity available in the western world. I feel we should grow ourselves to those levels than putting in sanctions to an Open Internet.
This is my personal view and would appreciate any support from you to make the internet world as free as possible for the end-users.
Thanks
