Dear Sir(s),

As I am sure that you would have received numerous mails on this matter by now. Probably, most of them saying the exact same thing. Considering both, the volume and the redundancy of content on this subject, I would keep my message short.

Having seen the internet evolve in the past decade, I have realized how powerful the internet can be. Years of quick paced evolution of this tool has finally given us, the people of the world and not just India, a medium to share and collaborate - to get similar minds together to achieve things in a simple and inexpensive manner. The internet has truly bridged gaps between geographical distances.

An internet that doesn't discriminate is essential for promoting innovation and allowing equal opportunities to all. It is important to note that even a capitalist country such as the US has recently ruled in favour of preserving Net Neutrality, making discriminatory pricing illegal.

Conclusively, the term OTT is irrelevant for the ISPs. An ISP should charge its users solely based on the bytes and bits transferred as well as the bandwidth provided to undertake such a transfer - without any concern for the purpose those bytes and bits might fulfil.

Dear Sir(s), as a stakeholder I would request you to reconsider the proposed framework on OTT and withdraw any such regulations that promote discrimination.

Thanking You,
Michael Hathi
