Dear Sir,
I have been following the Net Nuetrality issue that has come up recently. I have read up extensively on the topic. The recent struggle for Net Nuetrality in the US has provided a lot of material and I believe the decision of the FCC was the correct one.
I do not believe that the loss of income incurred by the telecom industry due to be a hindrance to the progress of our nation. On the other hand, the telecom companies should be taking innovative measures to make more money off the increased internet usage. The selective nature in which companies like Airtel intend to provide internet services, like the Zero platform is not fair and not in the spirit of free competition. I also believe that the internet should be an equal place, where content is treated equally.
I would like to express my concern about Airtel being allowed to go ahead with their proposed "Zero" platform and on violating net nuetrality so blatantly. I also feel that the TRAI should bring about ordinances making sure net nuetrality will exist in India to spurn such measures by the telecom companies.
Thanking You,
