Subject: We want Net Neutrality

Dear TRAI,

I am anguished knowing that telecom carriers are taking to restrict fair access to the internet. Internet is the basic necessity now and the only medium for many start-ups to grow. If telecom operators can discriminate internet traffic on the basis of which services pay the most, we are allowing telcos control over a vital and necessary technological resource. By doing so we allow them to define what information we can view; what entertainment we can access; and how companies can innovate. This is draconian and against spirit of fair dealing and justice. Telcos have no right to decide what we should watch and what we shouldn't. All website should be available to the user without any discrimination.

This will harm India's growth significantly on the global stage. If telcos want to make more money then they should chargehigher for data without discriminating. I’m asking for a framework to ensure long term and fair access for all services regardless of size. Please understand that the internet is an important resource and vital to me and to every other Indian citizen.

Sincerely,

Sumit Duseja
