Dear TRAI,
Violating net neutrality violates the fundamental rights of an individual under several articles of the constitution, but primarily the right to free expression. The internet is a medium of personal exchange and a company cannot dictate what sites are easier to access and what sites are not. This is like a company deciding whether you can stay at a particular address or not. If you can afford it, you can live wherever you want in India except on defense land or forest land or land preserved for any other purposes by the Government according to law. Violating net neutrality would be the move of a fascist state that will eventually lead to public discontent and outrage. When the INVENTOR of the internet, Sir Tim Berners-Lee could forego his personal privilege of patenting the invention for the greater good, should a government be encouraging petty profiteering out of this important tool that connects humankind?
Regards,
Ananth.
