Dear TRAI,
I am writing to express my concern against the actions that telecom carriers are taking to restrict fair access to the internet (Net Neutrality). According to me, in the age of 21st century, the internet what we have seen till date is everything for students like us, from my educational resource to my shopping, from my healthcare tips to my communication with friends. If telecom operators can control internet traffic on their will, we are giving them the power to reshape our freedom (more specifically it will not be called freedom ), our choice what we can learn, watch and innovate etc etc.
This is completely unfair, because
1) We are giving them the full control of India's future.
2) It will largely impact on PM's dream of digital India.
3) It will affect the innovating and curious minds of India which ultimately will affect the developing India. (More specifically, now a days with the growth of MOOC (Massive open online courses) we can learn a lot from the fair internet)
I strongly believe the growth of telecoms and the well-being of the internet can go hand-in-hand. I’m asking for a framework to ensure long term and fair access for all services regardless of size. I want my generation and those that come after me to have unfettered access to the Internet, with no telcos or ISPs having the ability to charge for specific services I use on top of it. We all wants Net neutrality in India.
