Dear TRAI,

I have read through the OTT (Over the top services) paper from TRAI and feel it is very unfair on internet users.

Unfortunately it is completely biased towards telecom companies. The main concern of the paper is that they are losing money and want the share of pie from services that are replacing theirs. There is no talk of providing faster service to internet users.

It looks like minutes of meeting of a meeting of some Telecom company. For instance it is complaining that whatsapp is eating telecom companies SMS revenue and wants it's share of the pie. Like the underworld they are threatening to slowdown whatsapp if they don't pay up.

I understand the infrastructure costs of maintaining the network is increasing and revenue decreasing but this is not the way to control the content. This will pave way to censorship of the internet.

It is like water company charging extra for water if you using it to make tea than to wash clothes.
It will kill the startup companies in India as their competition can pay money to ISPs to make it slow.

OTT charging will monopolize the internet and ISPs will only make their services on the internet faster which is huge perpetration of Conflict of Interest.

I humbly request you to reconsider your decision to implement what is proposed in this paper.
It is completely biased and destructive for India and mostly for small businesses.
