Dear Madam / Sir,
I strongly oppose the move by telecom companies to apply differential
pricing on Internet usage. The proposal seems very one sided and it
seems like it is being put forward to benefit a few (mostly the rich
telcos, media and their buddies) and harm a whole lot of people, which
includes my friends, family and me as well.
Internet is a fundamental platform today. It allows us to live by our
democratic values in a way that was never possible before. It makes it
possible for everyone to voice their opinions and actually be heard.
We should actually strive for Internet as a fundamental freedom. Now
thats a inspiring thing to do.
Granted that there is so much of voicing (on the Internet) today, that
it may seem like a lot of noise. But as a civilisation we should learn
to adapt and include all the voices - rather then stifle them.
I sincerely hope that you will not take away the neutrality of the
Internet platform.
Best Regards,
Prashanth
