Q1) No, it is not too early. Recently with the boom in the smartphone market everybody is using a huge number of internet based apps on a daily basis. This means there are going to be an increasing number of app based start ups. If service providers are given control then already established businesses can easily establish monopolies in the market. This will lead to decreased economic output.

Q2) No. As we have seen communication plays a huge part in our day to day lives. For years TSP's have overcharged us for using sms. Internet based apps are almost free as they give us unlimited usage and services for a fractional cost. This is as good as hidden charges. If it costs them less then they should not be charging us for using their services. It's not ethical for them to charge us here.

Q3) Yes. Now that OTT's are able to provide the same functionality for an exponentially reduced cost TSP's have reduced earnings.

Q4) No. OTT start ups will fail again as they will not be able to control the price. As mentioned above it is unethical to charges the customer more if it does not cost you.

Q5) No, they do not yet exist. I do not see the need to regulate OTT's except help them in maintaining the privacy of their users. Perhaps, some security standards could help as around the world a lot of things have been leaked which have hurt the privacy of citizens.

Q6) I believe whatever laws are made for TSP's domestically should apply to OTT's. Blockage of OTT in non-compliance should be sufficient.

Q7) Using the latest open source cryptographic standards is the bestway to ensure security.

Q8)

Q9) I believe net-neutrality laws should be put in effect immediately as TSP's revenue streams for unethical overcharging have taken a massive hit. It's only a matter of time before the overcharge us for OTT's and hurt the economic prospects of this nation.

Q10) None. TSP's are not the TRAI who can decide what is to be discriminated against. If the TRAI decides to block P2P services then TSP's should block these services.

Q11) Yes. This along with some oversight from TRAI should be more than sufficient.

Q12) TSP's themselves should invest. If they need to increase the cost of our services they can as long as there is net neutrality. This will make TSP's more efficient and the competition between TSP's will drive economic prospects in this nation and prevent monopolies in the system.

Q13)No. They should not be allowed to discriminate against any service. Regulating this is going to be extremely hard and is useless. If the TRAI feels the need to ban any service for breaking the law then they should enforces TSP's to ban as needed.

Q14) No. All the major telecom companies were recently involved in 2G scam. Their trade practices show that they want to earn money without raising the bar of their services. Differential pricing is just another way to hurt the blooming business of OTT's and many other internet based services.

Q15) No. The fact that they are used so much is their utility in their customer's life. Discrimination against these OTT"s in any way is harmful.

Q18) No. Now that everybody has started getting access to cheap telecommunications there is no need to take that away from the public. The rich and poor alike can communicate as much as they want. People who couldn't afford to wish their out of station relatives on holidays can easily do that now. Subscription charges will take us where we were a few years ago. We were charged 6/- per sms on diwali. Now its free for us.

Thank you. I hope a law for net-neutrality is passed in this nation.
