I would like to express my concerns over proposed changes to the telecom sector and the threat it poses to fair and just telecom services for the public.

Telecom sectors have been experiencing abundant growth in revenue and internet service based revenue. Any claim to charge extra for "OTT's" is unjust and not expected from the government to allow the same. These OTTs are paid for by the people paying internet charges. Paying a second time is absurd.

Also in point 2.60 deep packet inspection is proposed. This allows ISPs to basically not just deliver our data/messages/internet based media but also look into them. What is this if not violation of privacy? Such regulations are strongly condemned, and will cause public protests.

I would like you to consider at the end of it all, what is the best public policy? The Telecom sector is doing well and always will. As has been proven in other countries that faced this same issue and net neutrality laws have passed with public favouring results (like in Netherlands and USA).

Lets not be that country that sells itself to big paying telecom companies.

Regards,
A concerned citizen.
