Hello,,

The fact that such steps are even being considered suggests the greedy and regressive priorities of the TRAI and the governmental bodies in charge of telecom regulations.

The Internet is a free and open source for any media. It’s point is to provide a platform for individuals, not just corporations, to share information of any and all kinds. This information needs to be available readily and freely to all citizens not only of India, but of the planet.

Internet speeds are already crawling in this country, where most developed nations have speeds upwards of 10 mbps - 10 mbps is standard where in India 1 mbps is. Instead of making available true broadband capable internet speeds, trying to make individuals pay for services such as youtube and the likes, this will be a MASSIVE step backwards. India is already well known as a country with regressive mindsets, making services paid will only cement that perception.
The entire point of the internet will not only be defeated, its will also be lost.

The internet is free for everyone and should remain that way. I stand for net neutrality. Don’t be greedy by only looking at short term monetary gains.

I just signed the petition ".@rsprasad & TRAI: Don't allow differential pricing of services & let consumers choose how they want to use Internet. #netneutrality"

Please help India evolve.

Thanks!
Chandan
