I am a citizen of India, who is very proud of the progress we have made in our information technology industry and our overall economic surge. I believe one of the main reasons this has been possible is due to our free and fair internet policies that has allowed individuals to learn and participate in the sea of information. This has allowed bright young minds to create startups, communication companies and online retail giants that allow us to hold our head high and reap great economic benefits.

I believe that disrupting the neutral nature of the internet will be very harmful for the growth of this nation. It will deny access to vital learning and participation in a increasingly global culture. It will create unfair advantages for certain individuals or companies, and such power should not be given lightly. It will further deepen the divide between haves and have nots in our country and force us away from our current path towards socio economic equality.
