The US recently witnessed an overturn on the demands of corporate lobbyists by classifying the internet as a Tier-II communication medium. This happened largely due to people voicing their opinions for net neutrality.
Taking inspiration, I have decided to voice my opinion to you as part of the regulatory authority and decision maker.
I request you to please enforce rules that will ensure a level playing field for everyone on the internet. Prioritizing traffic according to sources will affect competition and growth of the internet. The internet is and should continue to be a public utility. Just like telephone lines have been traffic neutral, the internet should be too.
By charging providers for using the internet, costs will go up and eventually it will the end user, that is people like me, who will be affected. Please take my recommendation into consideration and maintain net neutrality.
I would also like to express my dismay over the TRAIs reported plans to implement the "OTT" policy. It violates net neutrality and I wish for it to be scrapped.
