Greetings,

I have a great deal of respect for the Indian democratic setup and the fundamental idea that it derives its strength from the people.

As such, I wish to strongly express my support for an open and neutral internet. As we all know even after having come far in the world of connectivity, we lag in infrastructure and speed of access to the internet. The common man struggles every day to maintain a balance between how much he earns and rising prices. We DO NOT need another addition to the list of expenses we incur every month, on something that is sort of a birthright in the 21st century- the internet.

WhatsApp, YouTube, facebook, Twitter and its ilk are tools that are essential and mandatory to individuals and organisations alike. It would be highly unfair if charges were increased for access to these sites via mobile Internet.
This country has made great strides through the field of social media and I urge the government to consider the demands of the youth and not give in the certain capitalists.

I am an Indian. I am a student and a professional who loves my country and its people. Please do stand by us.

Thanking you.
