To whomsoever it may concern,

I am writing as a concerned citizen of this country about the adverse effects of Net Neutrality violation. Here are some points I wish to raise for your consideration.

1) Telecoms believe that neutral internet packs are leading to a loss in revenue for them. But if surveys are to be believed, internet pack purchases have gone up by 20% each year since 2011. Telecoms are actually generating a lot of revenue from these sales.

2) Violating net neutrality will lead to an unstoppable domino effect, where every ISP will start offering skewed internet schemes, favouring those who can afford to add on more functions to their connections. This will have an adverse effect, especially on small businesses and startups. Such a violation could potentially stifle the ENTIRE IT industry as far as smaller companies are concerned.

3) Treating data transferred over the internet differently sets a dangerous precedent, where it allows for easy monopolization of certain types of data. For Example, company X can offer cheap VOIP, and then no one can compete with them, and you have to then purchase MULTIPLE connections from multiple companies to get an average online experience.

4) The end user will suffer the most, having to spend atleast 200-450% more for the same level of functionality. This violation must not be allowed to stand.

5) If a yardstick has to be used, I would like to draw your attention to the recent FCC ruling in USA about the same agitation.

I hope I have raised some valid concerns in your eyes, and I will be available for further communication and clarification at this email ID, if need be.

Sincerely,
Aashish Vasudevan
