Sir/Madam,
This is with regards to the issue of net neutrality in India.
While it could be said that operators lose revenue because of ott applications.
They have also earned a substantially larger amount in revenues from data services.
A typical family could have anywhere between ₹300 to ₹5000 as fixed commitments to operators and isp's.
The demand of operators to charge separately for different services is totally unjustifiable.
Aren't consumers already paying for the data they are using?
If allowed to do so it would only lead to exploitation of consumers in the long term.
This would also lead to an unfair completion in the market.
Because not having net neutrality would allow operators to throttle data to certain services as part of deals with competing service providers.
This would rob the consumers of freedom of choice.
I would also like to point out the recent FCC ruling in favour of net neutrality.
Thus I would request you to implement net neutrality in order to protect Internet freedom at large.
                                                    Regards.
