Dear TRAI,

India is emerging market in terms of using Internet , where the infrastructure is low class and the charges are of world class. Internet penetration among rural India is hindered by the rise in price of data packs that are provided by the telecom companies.

Increasing the charges of data packs in the guise of charging OTT services will definitely be barrier to the existing internet penetration and bring in the pioneer of unfair policies that  curb the freedom.

The services obtained through OTT app's must be monitored and used for security of India wherever necessary , there is noting wrong about that , as the security of the nation as a whole is the primary concern.

Regulation of OTT charges asked by the company can be monitored and necessary intervention should be there by the government when there is unfair or exorbitant pricing structure comes with a sub standard service. Other wise it is the customer's choice to use the service or not, so there is an element of freedom in the choice of the user.

Internet penetration is not in its full potential, with more subscriber base , more the revenue for telecom companies. so I personally think that lowering the data packs will increase the data subscribers, rather than promoting new charges which will lay extra burden for the public.

So I conclude the mail with my request to TRAI  that let internet be free and neutral. at least for this decade to unleash the full potential of internet penetration.
