Answer to Question 1 : If any regulation is enforced on the Internet, that will lead to a disadvantage to Indians, who are also competing online in a fair manner with other companies. The internet should always be free, the internet provider needs to adopt so that people are not forced to abide by restrictions.

Answer to Question 2 : It will affect consumer choice. The freedom the consumer has is important. It will be easier for internet providers to change their business model. Restricting the freedom of consumers is incredibly harmful.

Answer to Question 3 : Every medium needs to adopt to change. After TV was introduced, radio operators had to change adopt. After the internet came along, video rental services had to adopt accordingly, which is why Netflix is booming and Blockbuster shut down. Internet providers need to adopt to the change, instead of taking away the freedom of people.

Answer to Question 4 : This will lead to a violation of Net Neutrality.

Answer to Question 5 : The Internet is structured in a way, so that everyone has equal access, everyone has equal opportunity. If any restrictions are forced on it, it will lead to an unfair system.

Answer to Question 6 : The government and companies should respect people's privacy. It should not have access to aspects of a person's life which he/she does not wish to share. Security can be maintained without invading in people's privacy.

Answer to Question 7 : They should always be updated regarding security. They should inform consumers about security and privacy. The government should do this as well.

Answer to Question 8 : No regulatory framework is needed that is in violation of Net Neutrality principles.

Answer to Question 9 : A free and open Internet is a pillar of democracy and our fundamental right. Internet service providers and governments should treat all data on the internet equally, not discriminating or charging differentially by user, content site, platform, application, type of attached equipment, or modes of communication.

Answer to Question 10 : Any kind of traffic discrimination or management practices should never violate principles of Net Neutrality. And TSPs should be completely transparent about their traffic management principles.

Answer to Question 11 : Any case by case traffic management of OTT applications, even if it is transparent, violates Net Neutrality. So, this question won’t arise if TRAI ensures Network Neutrality.

Answer to Question 12 : Free market forces should allow TSPs to reach a price-point where they can profitably invest in network infrastructure. As a municipal water supply does not charge companies making washing machines and does not tax people for using these machines, similarly OTT players should be given a free market to flourish.

Answer to Question 13 : Please do not violate the principles of Net Neutrality.

Answer to Question 14 : No justification. Please adopt to the changing world.

Answer to Question 15 : All data on the Internet should be treated as equal. All bits are bits, no need to segregate OTT players. TSPs need to focus on improving their existing products and quality of service.

Answer to Question 16 : Ensure that the principles of Net Neutrality are upheld. TSPs with vested interests should NEVER be able to impede consumer access to any app

Answer to Question 17 : NO regulatory framework required. NO segregation of OTT players required. NO traffic discrimination required. ALL bits are bits. DON’T hamper industry growth. Uphold Net Neutrality

Answer to Question 19 : Again, NO regulatory framework required. DON’T segregate or discriminate OTT players. DON’T hamper consumer choice. DON’T hamper industry growth. Uphold Net Neutrality.

Answer to Question 20 : Uphold Net Neutrality. Uphold an Open Internet. Uphold the citizens’ Right to Freedom of Speech.
