I am an Indian national, currently living in Belgium for my studies. I am doing my Masters here in Nano-sciences.

India is highly respected country for the whole world and the world looks towards us for mature guidance and to set examples, more so now as India is developing with a very fast rate and will soon be one of most desired destinations in the world for Research, Manufacturing and Guidance.

Internet is and will play a key role in the development of India, and to make this happen we should make sure that usage of internet is not hindered and all data on the internet is treated equally.

First of all allowing internet service providers to charge differently for different websites not only creates a biased internet society but it also favors companies providing internet services instead of favoring the customers using it. If net neutrality is not implemented, it will lead to serious consequences in the future.

I understand the reason for considering to let mobile operators charge extra for services like whatsapp and facebook. However, the changes brought on by these apps and websites are the part of the ongoing change that always happens in the world. For, example Land lines were replaced by mobile phone not very long ago, now the internet calling will take over the mobile calls. But, it is important to remember that this is a sign of development and should not be allowed to be ruled by a few companies who just want to make more and more money. It is the job of the company to adapt to these changes rather than governing them.

Free and unbiased internet is the key to India's fast development and dominance, we should work towards making internet available to more and more people and not the other way around.

I strongly favor Net Neutrality, and I hope that India will be one of the proud countries to have unbiased internet for all. Thank you!
