Dear Sir,

Net neutrality is an essential part of what makes the internet what it is today. Protecting it is critical for ensuring that the internet remains free and open. Here is an analogy I read recently that highlights the situation in a more simplistic manner, while still holding the message:

Pretend ice cream stores gave away free milkshakes. But you had to buy a straw to drink them. But that's okay, because you still get free milkshakes. One day you're drinking a free milkshake and you look down and the guy that sold you the straw is pinching it almost shut. You can still get your milkshake, but it's really hard and takes a lot longer.

So you say, "Hey! Stop that!" And the straw guy says, "NO! Not until the ice cream store pays me money." And you say, "But I already paid you money for the straw." And the straw guy says, "I don't care. I just want more money."

So, I ask you as a fellow consumer: Do you want someone to squeeze your straw, even though you paid for it?

Countries around the world are fighting for the free internet, it would be shameful if we were the first to enact this anti-consumer, corporate-friendly law. The goverment has promised pro-development, but it must not come at the cost of the consumer.

Urge you to strike down OTT services and ensure net neutrality is secured.

Thanks and regards,
