Shri  A. Robert Jerard Ravi,

GSMA India is pleased to invite you to its fifth ‘Mobile Meeting Series’ event on ‘Global perspectives: Net Neutrality debate’ that will be held in New Delhi on 22nd April 2015.

Background:

While there is no single definition of net neutrality, it is often used to refer to issues concerning the delivery of traffic over networks. Some argue that it is necessary to legislate that all traffic carried over a network be treated in the same way. Others advocate that traffic management is a core function of networks and the flexibility to offer varying service levels, for different applications, enhances the user experience.

Traffic growth, the deployment of next-generation technologies and the emergence of new types of services are presenting mobile network operators with a huge challenge: how to manage different types of traffic over a shared network pipe, while providing subscribers with a satisfactory quality of service that takes into account different consumer needs and service attributes.

Discussion:

Deliberations are expected to revolve around the changing competition landscape, the challenges of meeting consumer expectations, network investment and management, global regulatory developments and the implications for India.

Programme and Confirmation:

Please join us on 22nd April 2015, Wednesday from 11.00 hrs to 14.00 hrs, at ‘Emily Eden’, The Imperial, Janpath, New Delhi – 110001.

We would be grateful if you could please confirm your participation by 15th April 2015.

Warm Regards,

GSMA team
