Hi,
I came here from the Logical Indian page and would like to share my opinion on Net Neutrality.

The technological advancement we have seen in recent years, the revolutionary apps and websites etc. were possible because there was a level playing field in the domain of internet. There was no entry barrier, not need for too much capital to start your own internet business. But why only countries like USA is taking the advantage of it?

I know many students who are taking advantages of MOOCs and online education which is free for anyone who wants. The youth who's on internet is more intellectual, more developed and more educated than those who couldn't access the internet.

Lets face it, we need deeper Internet penetration in India so that each corner of this beautiful country can prosper. If you favor those telecom providers who are already earning billions in revenue, instead of the uneducated youth, how can we achieve the great Indian golden dream?

India, being one of the most populated countries have significant impact on the internet market. If we choose to disrupt the balance between the internet and the users by allowing telecom operators to selectively price the internet access based on the websites, it'll send wrong message to the world. We will be hostile towards the new tech businesses.

As far as I remember TRAI has always been with the consumers and fought against wrong practices of telecom operators. I respect the organisation for the same. Kindly have the consumers in mind before you take any decision on this.

Please maintain net neutrality.

Thanks and regards,
